How to Analyze Student Growth Progression (SGP) Data

The SGP metric, which stands for Student Growth Progression, is an indicator of relative academic growth over time. It is calculated by comparing the assessment scores of a student to those of their academic peers. It can be useful in informing instruction, assessing student performance, and identifying areas where additional support may be needed.

SGP scores are reported on a 1-99 scale, with higher numbers indicating greater relative growth than lower ones. The metric can also be used to assess the overall performance of a school or district.
